Most of them come from United States, as state of Florida is only 50 miles away. This region has the nicest climate with few rainfalls and 320 sunny days each year! Summer temperatures stay around perfect 80 degrees Fahrenheit (26 degrees Celsius), while winters with 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius) can be hardly considered chilly. The archipelago is made up of 700 islands, so often people don't know where to go in Bahamas. Along with hundreds of miniature uninhabited islets, there are some larger ones that offer all kinds of leisure activities, different accommodation types, and organized sightseeing tours or day trips to smaller cays. People planning breaks in this country are advised to consider three tourist destinations: New Providence and Paradise Island, Grand Bahama Island, and The Out Islands.
Nassau, the capital of the nation, is located on New Providence Island, which is linked to Paradise Island with many bridges, creating the most loved holiday spot in the Bahamas! As the longest system of immersed caves in the world, it is the favorite landmark for grownups and children alike. The six-mile long tunnel and cave system can be accessed from both sea and land, but diving can be done there only with permission from UNEXSO. The park features also tropical trees like sabal palm, cocoplum, sea grape, bonsai and ming trees, as well as rare flowers, including plenty of orchids. Grand Bahama is also famous for it's great shopping opportunities. The International Bazaar, Port Lucaya Marketplace and Marina offer brand-name duty free products with costs way below US and Europe prices. Local handicraft and arts are sold in shops and markets everywhere on the island.
For a simple and quiet holiday, travelers should visit the Out Islands of the Bahamas, often called the Family Islands. Although these islands handle successful its guest and provide them good accommodation options and various things to do, they leave behind all casino, nightclub, shopping malls and the busy resort life. Instead, it feature things to do in Bahamas like fishing, diving, sailing, bird watching, kayaking, hiking and golfing. The area's favorite Bahamas attractions are the endless beaches with clear waters, breathtaking sunsets, and unspoiled nature! These relaxing, romantic islands are also perfect for going on honeymoon and even celebrate fantasy weddings. For night entertainment, voyagers are advised to get together with the locals who listening piano players or join them at clubhouse bars and disco. The lodging options on most Out Islands are usually small inns and rustic cottages without telephones or TV, while some islands like Bimini become more popular as new hotels are opened every year. As conclusion, people asking where to go vacation in Bahamas are guided to choose Nassau or Paradise Island if they want to take delight in a cosmopolitan atmosphere, Grand Bahama if they would like to benefit both on luxurious stays and fantastic sightseeing tours, and the Out Islands when they are interested foremost in enjoying pristine nature and don't care too much about the accommodation amenities!
